CALAMAR PRESIDENT NAMED TO "40 UNDER FORTY"

(August 13, 2001 - Wheatfield, NY). Kenneth M. Franasiak, President and C.E.O. of Calamar, Niagara County's largest real estate organization, has been named to Business Firsts "40 under Forty" honor roll for 2001. An independent panel selected Mr. Franasiak and 39 others, from nearly 300 candidates. The 40 under Forty honor roll was formed to acknowledge and honor young, outstanding community leaders in Western New York for their professional success and community involvement.

Co-founder and at the helm since Calamars inception in 1990, Ken Franasiak has successfully maneuvered his company to be one of the largest, full service real estate organizations in Western New York. While the company has grown, the community has benefited as well. Ken Franasiak made a promise and commitment to Niagara County and that area in particular has seen substantial growth, most recently with the opening of the Woodlands Corporate Center in Wheatfield, the first business park to open in that area in over a decade. "One year ago, this was just a vacant lot and today it is a first class business park" said President Ken Franasiak. "We have land available as well as a 30,000 S.F. multi-tenant facility and our costs are lower than neighboring business parks. We're very pleased with our progress and are very excited for the future".

Ken Franasiak has not only committed his business to the area, but his personal time as well being involved in many corporate and charitable events including Chairman of the Boy Scouts (Polaris Division); Niagara Area Foundation; Board member of Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce; Niagara County Workforce Investment Board, Wheatfield Economic Development Board; Panel chair for Niagara County Industry Council; Member Niagara Bi-National Regional Economic Round Table; Member of National Private Developers of NAIOP.
