Calamar is currently searching for qualified applicants for our Construction Administrative Assistant position at our Wheatfield, NY office.

This position supplies administrative and contract support services to our Construction Team. Candidate must be able to use independent judgment in completing activities and operates under general supervision. Oversees administrative procedures and processes for the assigned area including; drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing contract support services. Job duties include submittals of RFI's, AIA's, change orders including billing along with other general administrative duties. Manage individuals and department calendars. Coordinates travel arrangements. Provide administrative support as a receptionist. Project a professional company image in-person and in phone interactions. Come join our TEAM!

Position Requirements:

  • 2 -3 years of administrative experience preferably in the construction industry.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Excel and Word abilities. Must be able to complete merges, format spreadsheets, sort/filter/report data, and create functioning formulas.
  • Keyboarding at 50 words per minute.
  • Demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, organized, team player, strong attention to detail, time management skills.
