CALAMAR ANNOUNCES EXPANSION TO MIDWEST
Calamar is on the move
Calamar President and C.E.O. Kenneth M. Franasiak announced today the expansion of its operations to the Midwest opening an office in Omaha, Nebraska. Calamar, a full service real estate organization comprised of construction, development, property management and finance and investment divisions will begin operating out of the Omaha office immediately. Headquartered in Western New York, Calamar has been providing real estate services for nearly twenty years.

“The Omaha region shows great potential for growth and opportunities that exhibit solid promise. Our market studies for Omaha indicate an attractive and lucrative future and this venture is an example of our continued vision and strategy to become a global provider. While many companies from Western New York seek the sunshine, we went to Omaha to seek opportunities. Our Nebraska location will mirror all the facets of our organization by providing the same complement of services and vertically integrated platform we have implemented since 1990.” said Calamar President and C.E.O. Kenneth M. Franasiak. “As the economy slows, operations in the nations heartland present great geographical diversity while providing a launching point for further expansion”. Calamar brings a collaborative and full range of services within all our departments that create a vertically integrated organization that produces seamless product delivery. From investment and equity financing to specialized technologies such as site cast concrete tilt-up construction, Calamar utilizes advanced techniques to add value to our clients all while lowering their cost of occupancy.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Kennedy as Vice President and General Manager of our mid-west operations. Scott and his management team have been providing construction services in Nebraska for over fifteen years and include a wealth of knowledge and experience in all phases of construction as well as an intricate knowledge of the Omaha region.” said Tom Weeks, Executive Vice President of Construction for Calamar.

“This is an opportunity to not only grow our business model, but to expand our reach into the global market”, Franasiak said. “In addition to construction, we will actively be seeking development opportunities to foster and cultivate our core strategy to become a global provider of real estate services. Calamar has extensive experience in the development of large land tract/mixed use developments as well as senior housing, medical offices, and multi-tenant facilities. In addition, Calamar provides a wide range of services from site selection and financing, construction and property management services for build-to-suit clients as well as our own portfolio. Calamar has been responsible for some of the largest developments in the Northeast markets we operate in and we look forward to bringing that expertise to Omaha and the Midwest.”

C.O.O. Dawn I. Gillliam commented, “We are looking forward to adding value not only within our projects and for our clients, but in the communities where we operate and invest, being part of their future vision”.

The Omaha, Nebraska location represents the fourth location for Calamar. Other offices include the corporate headquarters in Wheatfield, N.Y. as well as offices in Hamilton and Toronto, Ontario.
