(August 15, 2001, Wheatfield, NY) Kenneth M. Franasiak, President and C.E.O. of Calamar, Niagara Count's largest real estate organization, has been appointed to the board of private developers for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). NAIOP is a national association with over 9,000 members and an extensive network of 46 chapters that represents the interests of developers and owners of industrial, office and related commercial real estate throughout North America.

Franasiak's appointment to the private development board for NAIOP is clearly a result of Calamar's ongoing and successful pursuit of growth in Western New York and creating jobs and economic stability through development. Franasiak's designation to the National Forum of NAIOP is a three-year term and will enable Calamar to meet with diverse individuals from across North America who share the same interests, commitment, leadership and expertise. "I am very honored and excited to be part of such an elite group of business people from all over North America and look forward to sharing ideas and continuing to build alliances with other members of the development industry" Franasiak stated. The board, which is comprised of only 30 members will allow Calamar to engage in meetings with other industry leaders and be part of an executive symposium to focus directly on the operational aspects of development issues and day-to-day business operations.
