The team's collective experience provides the founding principals a network of local relationships throughout the U.S. such as real estate owners and operators, mortgage brokers, real estate brokers and other deal sources.

Ken Franasiak organized and founded Calamar Enterprises, Inc.(“Calamar Enterprises”) in 1994. He is its sole shareholder and Chief Executive Officer. Calamar Enterprises and its affiliates are a diversified real estate services company with offices in the United States in Wheatfield, New York and Omaha, Nebraska and in Canada in Toronto, Ontario. Calamar Enterprises and its affiliates are builders, developers and property managers for its own account as well as for the benefit of third party investors. Over the past decade, Calamar Enterprises and its affiliates have developed, invested and built over $150,000,000 of commercial, industrial, medical office and senior housing property. Mr. Franasiak graduated from Radford University, Virginia with a B.A. in Business Management. In addition to his work with Calamar Enterprises, Mr. Franasiak sits on the Board of Directors of a number of community and business related organizations.

Luke Pickett is a former principal of Headwater Capital Management in Portland, Maine which acquired industrial and office properties in the eastern United States.  Prior to his return to New England in 1999, Mr. Pickett was with Viceroy Investments and Crow Holdings in Dallas, Texas for over ten years. While at Crow Holdings, Mr. Pickett served in various capacities including starting and running an office acquisition fund as well as asset management overseeing approximately $750 million of assets. Pickett also previously worked for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, Texas and Maryland. Mr. Pickett is a graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in economics.
